Hello Liz, My name is Peter Hook. I had the opportunity to meet you a few times over the years when I came to Yankton to work on the Makino machines at Applied Engineering. I'll never forget the first time I met Dave at Applied Engineering. He certainly was bigger than life. He challenged me every time I came to work on his Makino's and I feel I finally earned his respect enough to get invited back to help with other automation project challenges that came up over the years. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have gotten involved in robot integration and programming. So I owe him (and you because, as his wife, you had to be a huge inspiration to him) a debt of gratitude for getting me started in something I thoroughly enjoy and make my living with now. I can honestly say that I have only met one or two other people in industry over the last 25 years that truly understand Automation like Dave did. He was the very best at it and it was an honor and pleasure to work with him. My condolences to you and your family. He will be missed. Sincerely, Peter Hook
