Joseph Mark Rauscher, age 11, of Yankton, SD died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Riverview Reformed Church, Yankton, with Rev. Rod Veldhuizen officiating. Burial will be in the Yankton Cemetery. Visitations will begin at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home & Crematory, Yankton, with a Scripture service at 7:00 PM. Visitations will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
Joseph was born September 20, 2001 in Hastings, NE He was baptized in April 2008 at Greenwood Presbyterian Church, Greenwood, SD. Godparents are Faye and Jay Corey. He was adopted by Alisa & fathered by Jason Rauscher, Josiah Kezena and Justin Miller. He attended Wagner Community Pre School through third grade and completed 5th Grade at Beadle Elementary School, Yankton, SD.
Joseph is survived by his parents, Alisa & Justin Miller of Yankton, SD; brothers: Tyrel Red Bird of Sioux Falls, Miguel, Tyler and Robert Rauscher, all of Yankton, SD, and Billy Kezena of Yankton, SD; sisters, Martika Nelson of Sioux Falls, SD and Ruby Miller of Yankton, SD; grandparents, Debra & Mark Winckler of Yankton, SD, Richard and Colleen Wade of Sioux City, IA, and Evans and Bonnie Kezena of Greenwood, SD; great-grandparent, Art Winkler of Yankton, SD.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, William and Deloris Dodd, Darlene Winckler, Fred Kazena and Billy and Lois Wade.
