Larry Wagner, 65, of Yankton, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Sister James Care Center in Yankton. Memorial services will be 11:00 am, Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home in Yankton with Rev. Mark Ostrem officiating. Burial will follow at Sigel Cemetery in rural Utica, SD. Larry Lawrence Joseph Wagner, Sr., was born on March 24, 1959, to Romane and Dorothy (Brown) Wagner of Yankton.  He grew up in Yankton county and attended  school in Yankton,  graduating from Yankton High School in 1978.  

From 1977-1983 Larry was a member of the SD Army National Guard;  and he  was a member of the American Legion in Marion, SD.  He worked in many jobs before going to work for Morgan Manufacturing until 2002. 

Survivors include his 5 children:  David (Kayla) Wagner of Vermillion; Dorothy (Wagner) Sokolovits of Sioux Falls; Larry, Jr., of Yankton; Mary Wagner of AK; and Sylvester Wagner of Sioux Falls; step-grandson Rylee Limoges; close friend Janet Sayee; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Romane and Dorothy (Brown) Wagner; his 3 aunts, Joan Pavel, Margaret Brown of Colome, and Rose Wubben of CO; his brother Donnie of Yankton; uncles Hank, Jerome, and Sylvester.
