Ava,
Connie and I are so sorry to learn of your loss. Although you and I were neighbors and classmates as kids, and graduated together, I never got to know Don very well until after the two of you were married. I always enjoyed visiting with Don at reunions and after you moved back to Yankton. It was always fun running into Don. The last time I had a good conversation with him was several months ago when I gave him a ride home from Southgate, where he had left his pickup for repairs. He always had a story to tell and I never heard the same story twice.
The one thing that I always remembered about Don was to "expect the unexpected", I believe that is what made him so entertaining and interesting to visit with.
May God be with you and your family at the time of your loss. There will always be fun stories of Don remembered by all, which will make his presence vivid with the family for generations to come.
