Obituary of Anne Adley
Anne Yaggie Adley, 83, of Seattle, Washington, died peacefully in her home on January 13, 2024. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home in Yankton from 5:00-7:00 pm. Anne’s Memorial Mass will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Yankton. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Yankton. Anne was born on January 3, 1941, to Frank and Margaret Yaggie in Yankton. She attended high school in Yankton and was the occasional dance partner of a young Tom Brokaw at the town’s social gathering spot, the Teen Canteen.
In 1961, Anne married Stephen Patrick Adley, M.D. The couple had four children, Stephen Patrick, Allyson Anne, Francis Robert, and Sean Patrick. The couple divorced in 1979.
After receiving a master’s degree, Anne enjoyed a long career at the Chamber of Commerce of San Antonio, Texas; Portland, Oregon; and Seattle, Washington. She also found work as a print and television model.
Anne is survived by her children, her granddaughter, Jade Adley, her sisters Mary K. DiLeo and Alice Lynn Jensen; nieces Leslie DiLeo and Andrea DiLeo and nephew Jason DiLeo.
She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Robert Yaggie.
