Marlin was a Vietnam War Hero. He went through unbelievable war battles that a movie was made about, HIs love for Celesta, his sons, their wives and grandchildren .got even stronger as he got older. We worked with him and the VA on the Agent Orange issue and how it affected his health. He was always very thankful that Tom Daschle took the lead in helping agent orange affected veterans. He loved to farm and the rural way of life. His deep convictions in God, Family, Farm, his neighbors and friends and his fellow Vietnam veteran buddies reflected Marlin s love for life and for enjoying every moment. We would call each other on the phone and seldom did we get done discussing local, state and national events in less than an hour. He will be greatly missed Our Deepest Sympathy Retired Senator Frank and Joanie Kloucek and Family. Scotland South Dakota

I spent a lot of time working with Marlin on a documentary that we did about his and his fellow soldiers experience in Vietnam. I learned many things about that and am so honored to have been able to record that for history. It meant so much to him. He will be missed so much by his family and friends. Rest easy my friend.
