Victor was born to Frank and Anna (Svitak) Novak on April 9, 1937. He attended Peterka School District 46 till the 8th grade. After the loss of his father, he farmed in rural Utica with his mother. Victor continued to farm the land and tend the garden after his mother passed in 2011. He retired to Yankton, SD in 2007 after a tornado devastated his farm. He enjoyed frequent livestock sales at Menno Livestock Market and was a regular visitor to JoDean’s Restaurant. Gardening, taking care of his dog (ACE) and dabbling with odd jobs around the farm were his perfect hobbies. For medical reasons he moved to Vermillion, and later moved to the Menno-Olivet Care Center to be closer to friends.
Victor is survived by friends and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Anna.
Victor’s friends wish to extend their gratitude to the staff at Menno-Olivet Care Center for his wonderful care.
