Obituary of Colin "Mochi" Schulte
Colin “Mochi” Schulte, 64, of Coleridge, NE, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Avera Sister James Care Center in Yankton. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Colin was born on July 9th, 1958, to Leo and Lorraine (Jansen) Schulte in Yankton SD. He grew up in Hartington NE and attended Cedar Catholic High School, Class of 1976.
Colin, aka, Mochi spent his work life as a professional land surveyor in Texas, California, Arizona and then back home to Nebraska.
He was a faithful supporter and longtime crew member of the band QUAZY. He loved fishing in the Missouri River, especially set-lining big flathead catfish with his father, Leo, playing 3-handed euchre, and was quite the movie buff.
Mochi was a fan of all sports, mostly the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Mochi brought fun and laughter wherever he went, always having a joke to tell or a card trick to show.
He will be missed by his Mother, Lorraine Schulte of Hartington NE, siblings and their spouses; Chris and Rita (Nielsen) Schulte of Burt NY, Clark and Debbie (Steers)Schulte of Glendale AZ, Craig and Marcy (Folkers) Schulte of Hartington NE , Conly and Kelly (Orfe) Schulte of Arvada CO, and Cathy (Schulte) and Gerald Tramp of Crofton NE, nephews, nieces, and countless friends he made during his life.
Colin is preceded in death by his father, Leo Schulte and many Aunts and Uncles.
