Obituary of Robert Albrecht

ALBRECHT ROBERT

                Robert Albrecht age 59 of Sioux Falls, SD passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD.  Visitations will be 3 to 6 PM, Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Chapel with memory sharing at 6:00 PM.  Online condolences may be sent at: www.opsahl-kostelfuneralhome.com. 

                Bob was born Oct. 25, 1962, to Jerry and Pat (Lyons) Albrecht. He was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Church in Yankton, SD. He graduated from Yankton High School in 1981 and attended college at both the School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City and the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. He moved to Sioux Falls in 2011 after working for various construction companies in the Yankton area. He purchased a drywall company in 2018 and Albrecht’s Drywall was born.

                In his younger years, Bob loved to hunt and fish, and he continued fishing through adulthood. Ping pong, pool, bowling, and tennis were some of his other interests and many of his high school classmates remember losing to him.

                He had a tremendous love of animals and had cats throughout most of his life.

                He is survived by his sister, Michele (Mike) Stravato, Aurora, CO and nephews Joseph Stravato, Federal Heights, CO, and Matthew Stravato, Boulder, CO.

                He is preceded in death by his parents.
