Obituary of Bruce Huber
Bruce Huber, age 62 of rural Irene, SD passed away unexpectedly at his residence.
Bruce Alan Huber (“Hub”), the son of Violet (Schoppert) and Clarence Huber, was born on March 12th, 1957 in Yankton, SD. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer Church located in rural Irene, SD. He graduated from Irene High School in 1975.
Bruce married Kaye Sorensen in 1988 and to this union a daughter, Katie was born on July 16, 1992. He began working at Kohlbergs in 1991 and retired in 2019. Approximately in 1995, Bruce began residing on the homestead in rural Irene where he spent several years farming and raising cattle. Bruce enjoyed riding his Harley Davison motorcycle with friends and family. He also enjoyed several motorcycle trips with friends to Wyoming, Montana, Sturgis and many more. Bruce was always willing to give a helping hand and truly treasured his family and friends. He was a friend to all he met and was loved by many in return.
Left to cherish Bruce’s memory are his daughter, Katie (Danny) Smit and grandson Raylon of Parker, SD; brother, Stuart Huber of Irene, SD; sisters, Dianna (Steve) Hampton of Hot Springs and and Donna (Don) Young of Sioux Falls, SD; aunts; uncles; nephews; great nephews; nieces; great nieces; cousins and friends.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Violet and Clarence Huber and stepfather, Glen Pickering and other beloved family members.
