Thinking of the whole Cabalka family. I've had the pleasure of knowing Bob for many years, as I watched him and Dad coach together. It is clear that he has impacted many lives through his dedication, time and kindness. It is an amazing gift that he gave to the Yankton community through all of his commitment to Yankton Girl's Softball and the gift of friendship to my Dad. His gentle laugh and smile will remain my favorite memories. Wishing the whole family peace in this very sad time.

Bob was always so positive, even when he was talking you into grabbing a rake and doing fields during many of those Father's Day tournaments, rain or shine he was there. Even though we met through our love of softball, and all the volunteering, he was a great friend and so much fun to be around. May his family find peace with his passing, and know that he was loved and cherished by so many.

So sad to hear about Bob's lost battle to cancer. I worked with Bob years ago at a body shop and we did some pheasant hunting together. He was always positive, very funny and a treat to be around. If you look up the definition of class in the dictionary his picture pops up. He will surely be missed and remembered by many followers and anyone that had a chance to meet him.

Heartfelt condolence for your loss of a very good man. I was introduced to Bob on a softball field and the last time I saw him was a softball field. The first, last, and all the times in between what I will remember are one, his smile, two his love of the game, three his love of the kids that were playing and fourth again would be that ever-present smile.
It is never easy to lose a loved one, but your family has something to be very proud of in your time of sorrow, Bob touched a lot of lives, not only in Yankton but throughout the state and region in this game we all enjoy and probably spend to much time at.
The players in Yankton not only got to enjoy playing the game but were lucky to have your Husband, Dad, Grandpa as their mentor and their #1 fan. I am sure there were some that did not always agree with coaching decisions, playing time, defensive positions, etc. That comes with the game. But when the game is over and the years pass, there will always be that time that Coach Cabalka will be in their memories and they will be good memories, They will share those memories will their kids, and hopefully, some of them will coach and share with their players.
I want to thank your family for allowing the time for Bob to be with our softball family, we will not forget him. May God bless you and comfort you at this time. Prayers from the Watertown Arrows, USA Softball of SD, and myself.
