Obituary of Sheryl Fejfar

Please share a memory of Sheryl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Sheryl Lynn Jenkins Fejfar was born an only child on May 5, 1959 to Edward Lyle Jenkins and Susie Devolia Clatterbuck Rumsey Jenkins near a dairy farm in Culpepper, VA.  She loved spending time with her maternal grandparents, Bernard and Lilly Frazier, where she learned her love for flowers and gardening.  She loved making ice cream with her paternal grandparents, Frank and Lottie Jenkins.  Sheryl was a confirmed Baptist.  She graduated from Ladysmith High School in 1977.  She attended a community college in Richmond VA, earning an Associate’s Degree in accounting.  She worked for several companies as an office manager where she supervised all needs and responsibilities of the entire office.  Sheryl was very organized and a stickler for detail.  Sheryl married James Clement Fejfar on September 5, 1995 in Carmel Church, VA.  They lived in rural VA, between Richmond and Fredericksburg before moving to Tabor in 2010.  Sheryl fit right in; she loved becoming a member of the Czech Heritage Preservation Society and served as treasurer for a term.  She also worked for a trucking company until it went out of business and for Yankton Storm Restoration until her passing.  Sheryl loved animals, always having at least 3 dogs.  Her all-time favorite was Smokey, a Queensland Blue Heeler.  She always had plenty of love to go out to her “rescue babies”.  Sheryl also enjoyed planting flowers and decorating her home.  She collected anything related to chickens or cross-stitching.  Sheryl was always a friend to anyone who needed one and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Sheryl is survived by her husband, Jim; her doggie babies, Max, Maggie, and Baby; many brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; her mother-in-law, Delores G. Fejfar; father-in-law, Clement Clifford Fejfar, whom she had a special bond with; aunts; uncles and many doggie babies.

She is loved by many and will be missed by many.
