Just received the sad news yesterday. My life was forever changed by his friendship. He was not only my friend, but a wise mentor.
Bob was a steadfast member of our annual Pheasant hunt right up to our last in 2016. Resident storyteller and co-chair of the chuck wagon with Dick Pillar. He led a life of generosity and service to anyone who crossed his path. Many a long evening we spent on the phone sorting out the world at large.
I was lucky enough to stay with Bob in 2016. We made a point to visit his gravestone he spoke of for so long. He was so proud of it and wanted to let the world know, in his words... "Life was a banquet, I had my fill."
God's speed dear friend. See ya on the other side.

It was with sadness we learned Bob had passed. Bob lived life with enthusiasm, a contagious laugh and a warm and caring heart. He was a good friend and we will miss him. We send our love and condolences to his family.

I want to offer my sincere condolences on your loss. I knew Bob in two roles, as I also worked in the seventies for the SD Dept of Labor as a Counselor, and I too am a YC grad and an Army Veteran. He was always a great guy and cared a lot about the people he knew and lived with...
A classy guy.

Bob's life was a triumph of optimism and of treating people well. He was a true inspiration to all of us on the Yankton College Alumni Advisory Committee. My wife, Marghee, and I wish him godspeed as he moves on to those layers of life to which we all are headed. Regardless what that is, it is a happier place now that Bob Titus has joined the eternal choir.

Bob was family at our house. He was a giving and caring person who could be counted on to be there for you at all times. He had a heart of gold. He baked birthday cakes for every child in our family, every year until their 18th birthday. Family. He loved the arts and attended the opera in Minneapolis with my parents on many occasions. Funny too! He used to watch the Vikings with my dad with good banter. I could fill pages with his love of the Church and his faith. No one can forget him assisting Fr. Brady during mass at the Human Services Center. What a wonderful long and filling life. We loved him like family.
