My sympathy and prayers to all the Malik family, especially Mary who was such a dear nurse for my Don. I knew Hank because many of us student nurses went to his ball games. Fun days and he was a great ball player. May good memories help ease the pain of your loss.
hank long before he married my friend Laverne. I lived at Kingsbury Hall as a student nurse and dated Max Lomas a good friend to Hank. We had such great times going to the ball games as he was such a good player.

Henry "Hank" Malik Family
Jean Fitzgerald called and gave me the sad news that my friend "Hank" passed away.
I am in Florida and will not be back in South Dakota until after the funeral.
Hank and I had so many very memorable times together - and of course the South Dakota Baseball Championship.
My thought and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Hank Malik was as good a man as I have ever been fortunate enough to have known. I knew him as my best friend's father, my little league baseball coach, one of my father's best friends and a humble hard working, down to earth person. Hank did things for others. I remember him managing King, Queen and Rooster so that we could enjoy riding them - remember going on trips in the Winnebago - Hank fixing about anything and keeping those snowmobiles and mini bikes working - he even built a go cart that we used to push up the hill on Cedar Street and felt like we were going 100 mph going down. He had hands like baseball mitts and a laugh as big as his stature.
I will personally miss this man, and will never forget him. He and Vernie are together again and this family: Mary, Tom, Jeanie, DeAnna, Sharon, Jim, John, Dougie all resemble their folks and are their parent's legacy. My outpouring to the Malik family. I love you all and thank the good Lord that this man and you all have been in my life.
