JAMES, MARCELLA
Marcella “Marcie” James, 59, of Santee, Nebraska passed away on February 5, 2017. Wake services will be held on Tuesday February 7, 2017 and Wednesday February 8, 2017 at 7:30PM at the Oyate Oyanke Community Center in Santee, Nebraska. Funeral services will follow on Thursday February 9, 2017 at 1PM with the burial at the Our Most Merciful Savior Cemetery. Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton, SD is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be sent at www.opsahl-kostelfuneralhome.com.
Marcie was born October 20, 1957 to Lloyd and Sophie (Whipple) James in Wagner, SD and was a lifelong resident of Santee, NE. She graduated from Niobrara High School and attended Concordia University.
She is survived by two sisters, Meredith (Ardene) DeCory and Marilyn (Darrell) Bilka, both of Lincoln, NE; one brother, Henry “Jim” James of Yankton, SD; one son, Beau (Alexis) Red Owl, Sr. of Santee, NE; one daughter, Danielle Red Owl of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Brooke Red Owl of Lincoln, NE and Beau Red Owl, Jr. of Santee, NE and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Thomas James and Charles James.
