Dearest Margaret and family:
I was so sorry to hear about Roger's passing. I worked with Roger at Dept.. of Social Services in Winner back in 1976-78. He was a good mentor and true friend. I hadn't visited with Roger for several years, so am disappointed I didn't stay in touch. Time goes by so fast. Roger helped get started with DSS, and lent a listening ear whenever it was needed. He was such a good guy, and is sorely missed. I am so glad you produced the memory video.

R.I.P Roger. I enjoyed working with you for many years at DSS. As a co-worker, friend and neighbor, you will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to Margaret and family. Sincerely, Glenda Iverson

My deepest sympathy to Margaret and Vanessa and family. Roger and Margaret were my daughter Kara's babysitter 34 years ago and Roger took her to kindergarten at Lincoln School on his lunch break. He was a very special person and I've often thought about him and Margaret and how great they were with my daughter. Now she is all grown up with 3 kids of her own but remembers her first daycare.May God give you strength thru this difficult time.

Prayers for peace and comfort for all the family during this difficult time. Cousin Roger and I are the same age, therefore, putting us together in our classes in High School. We had such fun and crazy times. Never to be forgotten is the old Plymouth of Bob B's which is a great story. Roger will be missed by all who knew him and especially his family. I will miss you Roger, but I know we will meet again and more crazy times together. Hugs to all.
Love, Peggy and Bill Sale

I knew Roger when I taught at Yankton High School. I retired in 2007. He was such a kind, soft spoken man. We exchanged 'small talk' about all kinds of random topics including weather, food - you name it! I always looked forward to our chats. He was truly one of the 'good guys'! I am so sorry for your loss. May his kindness and wonderful smile keep all those good memories close to your heart. Rest In Peace Roger.

My heartfelt sympathy goes to my sister Margaret, niece Vanessa & family and to Roger's family. I always told Roger he had a Gold Crown waiting for him in Heaven. Jokingly he would say, " I have to get there first!" I'm sure that's where he is now looking down on all of us. He has been Margaret's devoted husband and care taker for many years. I am so thankful I got to visit with him again this past September in Yankton while I was on my South Dakota vacation trip. He loved his garden and flowers and enjoyed his new patios and kitchen. I posted a photo I took of him in 2013 on his front patio :)

For many years Roger cleaned the theatre at Yankton High School. I was always there late sewing costumes. I loved our many conversations. When we did "Les Miserables" it was Roger that suggested I read the novel. I did and he was right. It was a beautiful story. He was a wonderful man that had so much to give. I am truly sorry for your loss.
