Obituary of Kenneth Ray Dolejsi

Kenneth Dolejsi, 70, of Yankton, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 3, 2023, at the Sister James Care Center in Yankton. Visitations will be Monday, August 7 from 5:00-7:00 pm with a 7:00 pm rosary service all at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home in Yankton. Kenneth’s Memorial Mass will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 8 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Yankton. Online condolences may be sent at www.opsahl-kostelfuneralhome.com. Kenneth Ray Dolejsi was born on August 3, 1953 at Yankton, SD to Raymond and Gertrude (Walz) Dolejsi.

Kenneth worked for over 35 years at Cimpl’s Packing LLC until his retirement. Ken loved bowling and loved traveling to tournaments. He was an active member of the Loyal order of Moose, and also was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Ken loved meeting people and liked being the door greeter at Sister James Care Center.

Kenneth is survived by his sisters Patty (Eric) Jacobsen of Hustisford, WI, Karen (Denny) Ling of Yankton, SD; brothers Dan (Vicki) Dolejsi of Mission Hill, SD, Richard (Tammy) Dolejsi of Yankton, SD, Tom Dolejsi of Yankton, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Gertie, two nieces Tricia and Katie and numerous aunts and uncles.
