SCHMIDT FLOYD
Floyd L. Schmidt age 63 of St. Helena, NE passed away early Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Center, Bloomfield, NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Tuesday April 22, 2025 at Holy Family Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Helena, NE with Rev. Jim Keiter officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in St. Helena. Floyd was born on November 22, 1961, in Yankton, SD to Leonard and Jean (Nedved) Schmidt. He lived his whole life on the home place. His favorite past time was visiting with people, sharing stories, and the garden produce. Every year he would try to surpass the biggest potato from before (3#).
Survivors include his four brothers: David, Steven, Neil, and Ross Schmidt; two sisters: Cindy Kennedy and Carol Schmidt. Nieces and nephews: Cassie Schmidt, Paden and Abigain Schmidt, and Brittany Joseph, and Kayla Kennedy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and siblings: Cathy, Lewis, and Jill Schmidt.
