
Obituary of Marcie Ann Tronvold
TRONVOLD MARCIE ANN
Marcie Ann Tronvold, age 68 of Yankton, SD went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 23, 2025, after battling a short illness. A gathering of family and friends to honor her life will be from 1 to 3 PM, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home & Onsite Crematory, Yankton, SD. Family and friends are encouraged to wear green in honor of Marcie. Burial of her cremated remains will be in the Yankton Cemetery. Marcie was born February 27, 1957, in Sioux Falls, SD to Corrine (Carda) and Marvis Tronvold. Marcie spent her early childhood years living in Lake Andes, SD before settling in Yankton where she graduated high school. Marcie was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Yankton. Marcie enjoyed crocheting blankets for family and friends. Marcie enjoyed the color green, crosses, nativity scenes, dragons, watching the Minnesota Vikings, playing Bingo, and feeding the birds and squirrels outside her patio. Marcie loved to text and send GIFs to her family every day.
Marcie loved all her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews with all her heart and had a very special place in her heart for her great-niece Aubri. They spent a lot of time together at Marcie’s playing, laughing and watching TV shows.
Marcie is survived by her niece Jenny Burks and Aubri of Yankton, SD, sisters Kristi (Steven) Petersen of Tabor, SD, Cindy Bohlmann of Sioux Falls, SD, brother Brad (Michelle) Tronvold of Yankton, SD, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marcie is preceded in death by her mother Corrine Tronvold, father and stepmother Marvis and Linda Tronvold, sister and brother-in-law Tami and Dennis Tweedy, and great-nephew Nyle Petersen.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Country Neighborhood at Majestic Bluffs for taking such good care of Marcie for the past three years. Also, thank you to the nurses and staff at ASHH and the Avera Hospice team for making Marcie’s last week on Earth as comfortable as possible. God Bless to you all!
